How can we change our window blinds from inside to outside mounts?

    This might be a challenge - outside mount blinds are usually cut larger than inside mount. Are you ok with them looking small - and letting in more light?

    You will probably have to mount the short blinds to the upper window trim because they will be too short to reach to the sides without making some kind of adapter.

    Hi Ron: You merely put the brackets on the outside of the window opening. Decide how far from the window you want them to be - I'd recommend at least 5 inches - drill holes and put in some of those screw anchors that you pound into the wall before putting the screw in. Measure from the ceiling to the place where you want to put the holder, not from the floor, as it may not be even. Also, I'd put an extra rod holder by the area where you pull the blinds open and closed, for security. And, maybe a couple extra ones along the rod if it's extra long. Good luck
