Directions

Paint the stir sticks white. Just the front and sides need to be painted. You might need more than one coat of paint. Let dry completely.

Cut the dowels to 4 pieces that are each 3 1⁄2” long. You can do this with a craft knife or a saw.

Hot glue the dowels across the back of the three paint stir sticks horizontally for support.

Choose the garden and bird transfers that you would like to use. Keep in mind, they can be layered upon each other on the fence sign.

For instance, I put down the branches first, and then layered on the leaves and bird on top.

I transferred the tree branch first, and then transferred the bird on top of the branch.

I cut out the individual designs I was going to use, but you can remove them in whatever way works.

Remove the backing and place the transfer onto the surface. Use the transfer tool that comes in the pack (my pack had one) to rub evenly over the entire transfer. If not tool is provided, you can use the back of a spoon or a credit card to rub the transfer onto the fence.

After you have rubbed over the entire transfer, slowly and carefully peel back the clear protector sheet off of the design. If any portion of the design did not transfer and stick to the wood fence, lay the protector sheet back down over it and rub the surface again.

You can paint the front of the picket fence sign with Mod Podge if you would like to protect the surface or add extra sheen (if you use glossy Mod Podge).

Wrap twine around the top of the wooden picket fence sign several times. Tie in the back to secure. If you are hanging your sign, you can create a loop of twine in the back to use as a hanger.

Cut a length of the fairy garden white picket fencing to fit the width of the three paint sticks. Hot glue the miniature fence to the wood sign on the edges.
