How to Make a Shabby Chic Wreath
This is a very easy way to make a Shabby Chic wreath.
You will need:
*25cm straw wreath
* approx. 2 meter of cheese cloth
* tea or coffee or vintage paint
*2 pins
*old white fabric, it could be from an old table cloth
*sissors
My Youtube video showing how to make this wreath is here: https://youtu.be/3slE-mAjl7U?si=z7VH9qaQOK2cLayY
You can hang little charms, old jewerly. I call this wreath : „Treasures Wreath“.
This is my 25cm x 5cm straw wreath.
Teat the white fabric into several strips.
Fix one end to the wreath with a pin.
Wrap the whole wreath. If necessary add more stripes. Secure the end with the pin.
Now take your cheese cloth which you previously have dyed either on tea, coffee or with your favorite color from Vintage Paint. My favorite colors from Vintage Paint for this wreaths are antique rose and faded lavender.
Now cut approx. 40 stripes of fabric in approx. 4cm -5 wide.
Start binding them one next to the other one, like a loop.
If some are too long, simply cut the excess and fill with it and a pin any empty spaces.
You can dye the fabric in your favorite color and let it air dry before you start binding the wreath.
You can soak the fabric in tea to get this result.
or in a nice blue color from Vintage Paint (mix the paint with water and stirre very well).
Or you can decorate it with dry roses :)
or just leave it very simply if you prefer so.
