Is there any beautiful flooring that will last that is good for wet areas? I'd love to do cork, but I'm afraid what will happen if it gets wet. Help. :)

You already have the best flooring available for wet areas...it is TILE. Ever notice why it is used around pools and in shower stalls? If you are have trouble with keeping your grout clean you have to change your cleaning and sealing schedule. Or chose a grout color where this becomes irrelevant. An example of good grout color choice: When we tiled our cabin (which is off grid and lacks running water for endless cleaning etc) we took a sample of the local dirt to the tile store and compared it to the grout samples. What about the new ceramic tile that looks like wood planks? It's set solid so there are no visible grout lines.

you can always regroup with an Epoxy based grout which needs no sealing and will not stain. I believe there was post on epoxy based grout here recently...and I think it stated that it was available at HD

If you have never worked with epoxy grout you might want to have that part heired out by someone who works with it as a regular mainstay. It is completely different to apply compared to regular cement based grout.

The main thing is it is a real bugger to clean up if it gets ahead of you. Idealy you need to work about 10 sq feet at a time. With regular grout I often work 50 to 60 feet at a time.

with proper color choice a regular care regular grout is not that tough to maintain. The Grout in my master bath floor is a bit over ten years old and still looks new.
