This Old Guy Was Headed To The Dump

The Bird's Nest
by The Bird's Nest
Introducing Anthony! This guy’s story is sad but true, he was so badly treated, I wasn’t sure what I could do.
He was nicked up all over and scratched to the hilt, he was missing a wheel, so that made him tilt. But his character showed promise, it might take a bit more, I was up for the challenge, but it sure was a chore.
I sanded and scraped , then did what I could, thank goodness for Magic Mud, it did his guy good.
The painting began with Cranberry Bliss, then Derby was accented, I was really loving this. Ebony Glaze Finish to give that rich look, a lot of work put into this, but I had what it took.
Not perfect I know, but better than before, Kristi Kuehl Pure Home Paint and Finishes helped get this guy to the floor!!!!!

Wow what a great salvage and makeover. You hit it out of the park on this one. Love the color. Great job.

You did an exceptional job. I like that the fact that it still retains the antique look, with dark colors and stain. Thank you for not painting this piece of furniture white.
