Douglas Hunt on May 11, 2013Darlene, you are really on the edge of the hardiness zone for lavender. Some winters it will probably make it through, but a tough one it probably won't. Plant in a dry, sunny spot and prune in the spring just before it leafs out. (I cut mine back pretty far when I was growing them in the Hudson Valley, so I doubt the issue was that you cut your back too much.)Helpful Reply
