Are American Standard dual flush toilets any good?

American standard makes excellent dual flush toilets. I have installed them in numerous homes successfully. Dual flush toilets offer the most state of the art water saving options available today. However not everyone likes the smaller pool of water offered by dual flush toilets. I have had some feedback that the smaller pool of water does not dilute odors as well, and can also need more ongoing cleaning. There are numerous single flush toilets on the market that use as little as 1.28 gallons per flush that have larger pools of water and less of the drawbacks of dual flush toilets, including the need to flush more than once.. Your choice of toilets is understandably a very personal decision. If your decision is based on water savings, a dual flush toilet is your best option, and American Standard makes one of the best.

July 1 2012 rules change here in Georgia (I believe nationwide too). Govt regulations - we will no longer be able to purchase or install a toilet over 1.28 flush.

BeckySue thats correct as I was told this at a Plumbing showroom. So Maybe I need to wait till the end of May/June and catch some Toto's on sale.

Yes we have been happy with one we installed and you can get nice looking economical ones too, Toto is also good but a little more pricy.
