Bobbi Hoersdig on Jun 10, 2013Sometimes peonies take a few years to get started; however, you may have planted them too deep. The "eyes" should be just below the surface of the soil.Helpful Reply

Carolyn on Jun 10, 2013If you don't have it planted too deep, I think you just need to be patient. I had a peony that just grew and stayed green for the first three years it was in my garden. Year four came and it had 4-5 blooms. I wasn't sure it was worth keeping. Then it took off and this year it had 70 blossoms!Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Jun 11, 2013I would question the size of the plants when you planted them as well. Some mail-order peonies are TINY!Helpful Reply
