Janet Pizaro on Jun 08, 2016Split leaf philodendron. It is not a difficult plant at all to take care of. From the photo it does appear to need repotting. Water only when dry to the touch.Helpful Reply

Lyn2398900 on Jun 10, 2016Philodendron is right! And you can cut starts from it, place in water and it will root! That's if you want to keep it a smaller size.Helpful Reply

ObiaMan on Jun 11, 2016Philodendron. If you'd lay the stalk down on dirt it'll grow new plants all along it where the roots hang out. It can cover a large area over time. They'll grow up walls and fences and trees where the roots along the stem will grab hold.Helpful Reply

Gabrielle Falk on Aug 06, 2016I'm from Sydney Australia, and it is most definitely a philodendron. They will go crazy in the garden if you are not careful. They have little tendrils that will stick on to a wall etc.. Just like ivy. If you really want to strike a piece, put a piece that you have cut in a container (clear - so it can get some sun) of water, and it will shoot no problem. But be aware. They just grow and grow. You can't kill them. I've been trying to 'do away' with one for a couple of years, and the darn thing just keeps regrowing. I've tried blackberry poison, and even chlorine and hydrochloric acid that I use in the swimming pool. Still keeps growing.Helpful Reply
