Name that plant

I would like to know the name of this flower I found it 2yrs ago growing at the back of our property at the edge of the woods on the west side of it. It grows 2'-5' high it leaves are about 1 1/2-2" wide almost 3" long shaped like a football I was lucky enough to get seeds last year and they are coming up again this year please help, thank you.

    It looks like a yellow honeysuckle. I have one in my backyard.

    Definitely not honeysuckle. Try googling images for yellow wildflowers

      To me doesn't look like crownbeard by the pics i do have crownbeard planted elsewhere thou but this pic definitely does not look like crownbeard thank you

    Possibly witch=hazel, not honeysuckle. Thought it was St Johns wort, but mine has much smaller flowers and leaves, same bright colour. Rosie M.

    Don't think it is witch hazel, that's a shrub. I agree with crownbeard though. If you google "images" it looks exactly the same.

    The yellow flowers remind me of a ligularia. What do the leaves look like?

      Cool flowers and ill have to see what zone those will survive in but the leaves are shaped more like football and these flowers will reach 5' on a single plant stem kind a like tiger lily
