Mikki on Jul 20, 2016If you clean it well, I bet you can easily find a spray paint made for metal that will work beautifully. Alternatively, you could use a little gorilla glue to wrap it with cording or even lace to make it really unique.Helpful Reply

Elizabeth Dion on Jul 21, 2016Rustoleum makes a metal spray primer. Then you could paint it any color you wanted. I would install a round glass 'tabletop' on it and use it as a pretty plant stand or small side table.Helpful Reply

Donna Crosland on Jul 21, 2016if it's hollow you can make it into a lamp - which is great solution. I paint metal all the time and the rustoleum is about $4 a can at Home Depot. I really like the metal finishes as well....let us see what you do!Helpful Reply

Sam on Jul 21, 2016How about a birdbath or bird feeder? You can epoxy a chicken feeder to the top for a bird feeder or use a platter of some sort for the birdbath.Helpful Reply

Jeanne Morris on Jul 21, 2016Many years ago - (more than I'd care to say)! - I combined an old, tall wooden candleholder with a pewter-looking -(but actually purchased at a Christmas Tree Shop for @ $3.00) - charger to make a very cute plant stand. I sanded the candleholder, stained it with a silvery-gray stain - (Walmart -- @ $2.00 - $3.00 for the smallest can) - and attached it with Gorilla Glue. It held up beautifully for over 10 year at which time I passed it on to a niece. (I have to admit, tho', that reading some of the other responses have inspired me to round up the same items again and try one of the other uses mentioned)!Helpful Reply
