Patricia W on Jul 31, 2013Not a lemon cuke. We have 4 bushes in our garden of lemon cukes. It looks alot like a Pumpkin. But if you only had squash or cuke seeds, then I would say its a squash. The stem is too large for a cuke,Helpful Reply

Caley's Culinaries on Aug 01, 2013It's a round yellow squash. Here's an example: http://www.johnnyseeds.com/p-6662-floridor-f1.aspx If you didn't plant that kind on purpose, maybe your seeds had mixed parentage.Helpful Reply

Judy on Aug 01, 2013Not a lemon cucumber or patty pan squash!!! Lemon cukes have a thin stem & are prickly on the outside of the fruit. Patty Pan squash are aka scallop squash, are whitish green & look like a flying saucer with bumps all around the edge. http://www.specialtyproduce.com/produce/Lemon_Cucumbers_3844.php http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pattypan_squash My guess would be some sort of squash because of the stem. There is a round zucchini on the market now. Maybe there is also a round variety of yellow squash????? Was the plant a volunteer or did you save seed from last year? if so it could be a cross. Squash cross pollinate readily.Helpful Reply
