In a strict decorating sense, no the night stand doesn't really go with either bed. However, I have a rosewood, art deco breakfront in the same dining room as a teak table and sideboard...a decorator's nightmare to be sure. But it's my house and about what my husband and I love. So mix and match furniture styles as you like. If someone is rude enought to make a negative comment just tell them your decorating rule book is what makes you happy.
Bed 2 has it's own design and competes with the design of the nightstand. Still, you should go with your own heart because you'll be the one living in there!
Bed 2, hands down.
I would go with bed #2, it has rounded corners and to me suits the roundness of the night tables bet plus it is a bit fancier and will not be totally upstaged by the beautiful night tables!
Definitely #1. While styles no longer have to match, the style difference is more apparent in bed #2 while the first one would "go with" anything and you'll never tire of its classic lines. More important than this subject, though, is the height of bedside lamps. When choosing those, be sure to Google for guidelines so you don't buy too short a lamp like so many people do.
What makes you happy? Go with what you find comfortable and soothing. It's no one else's business, otherwise!
Either bed works with the table...so pick whichever one you like best.
Bed 1
I can only see two beds and one nightstand. I like bed number one it looks light the other beds headboard doesn't feel beach like. I know you said coastal but I don't know which one if pacific than 1 for sure if Atlantic northeast the 2 would seems right but southeast needs been one. The night stand I can see is to heavy therefore it doesn't go with either. Now if you plan on painting to match bed then it could do the job because it wouldn't look as heavy but I wouldn't buy it I would only use if I had no choice. I wish I could have seen other night stand. Good luck.
I like bed #1 better with the nightstand.
I like bed #2 with the nightstands because the headboard is higher. The nightstands are on the heavy side so a more substantial bed is required. If you decide to go with bed #1, then you need a simpler, straighter lines night stand so it doesn't overpower the bed.
