If you have carpet and don't want to mess with wheels, you could probably glue furniture sliders to the four corners. This is what I'm considering doing now that I've seen this. 😄
As for dust, you could probably take any excess fabric that fits and covers the drawer and use it. I'd take an old sheet or tablecloth (esp those disposable or felt backed ones) or shower curtain (especially from $ Tree), and staple it to the back, and then lay it all the way over the front, (or even side to side--your choice) and simply pull it back to see what's inside. (Velcro instead of a staple gun allows for occasional washing of the dust cover. )
Fabric Too long?
Cut it off. Now you have left overs for other projects, OR IF you wanted to create an easy pull back, you could create TIE BACKS from the extra strip of fabric OR even could attach wooden rulers to the bottom. Then you'd have a sturdier end to roll up or simply fold over. Industrious people might go as far as attaching to a round dowel to create a fancier way to roll it.
