Can someone tell me how to get the cat urine smell out of concrete?

John H on Apr 15, 2011Nature's Miracle Stain & Odor Remover. It is safe and natural. It has enzymes to break the urine down. Carpet cleaning companies use a commercial equivalent. A bleach application will help with any stains.Helpful Reply

Darby C on Apr 19, 2011You should try some of the enzyme based cleaning products that you get at the pet store. Here is a article that should be able to help you. http://www.networx.com/article/how-to-get-rid-of-nasty-pet-smellsHelpful Reply

Tammy on Apr 19, 2011All of the suggestions above are great, but as I personally went through this, you need to go one step further. You need to seal the concrete as urine is absorbed into the pores of concrete. I had to lacquer the concrete with an oil based lacquer to kill the smell, seal the concrete, and prevent my kitties from reusing the spot. You can then pain over the lacquer. It takes a couple of coats to ensure the seal is thick enough.Helpful Reply

Amazing Improvements and Garages on Jul 16, 2011vinegar is a great start. Then washing/vac the area till water is clear. Sealing with Kiltz may hold but it is not designed as a horizontal flooring application. If any moisture vapor pressure should rise thru the slab, it will pop off Kiltz. Sealing should follow.Helpful Reply
