Put on some rubber gloves and scoop out some of the toilet water from the bowl. Get a bucket or pitcher of very hot water (NOT boiling, just hot from the tap) and slowly pour a stream of the hot water from waist height directly into the bowl of the toilet. This will help soften the blockage. Let this sit for 10-15 minutes and then give the toilet a flush. Repeat as needed.

Fill a pail with water (I feel hot is better) and pore it quickly into the toilet. You may have to do this a time or two..doesn't always work.

Unclog a Toilet Without a Plunger
I had been seeing the dish detergent (I used Dawn) and water from waist height pour as shown above. About 2 weeks ago I tried it and it worked just fine. I have septic where I live not sewer lines and I think the Dawn will help the septic tank and lines as well.
Buy a toilet auger.
You can run a garden hose to the toilet that is plugged. Turn the hose on briefly while submerged down the drainage hole. Blast the hose fast, turn it off, and then try flushing it. The sudden burst of water will push the blockage out.
MAKe a volcano...place a 1/2 c baking soda in the bottom of the well...add some heated up vinegar and a squirt of dawn....gone!
Google on YouTube........they'll even show how to do it.
