Repurposed Door Into Laundry Room Shelf

We've lived in this house for 8 years and still have the ugly gold walls I've hated since the day we bought it. We told ourselves we'd get to the painting but it's like the plumber with a leaky sink. I (Interior Decorator) spend my days helping others make their homes look nice and the time has flown by. But...we did paint the laundry room a more pleasant color (Sherwin Williams Bungalow Beige 7511) and made a shelf from an old door.
It's ideal for folding clothes, scrubbing a stain on a shirt, and laying junk on when we have to hide things in a hurry when people show up. And the fact the ironing board fits underneath was a total fluke.
This re-purposed door is solid wood and it was heavy so after mounting it to the wall he decided he needed extra support.
I absolutely love it! More details on my blog.
