Replace the shade with a more modern one. I just replaced the shade on an old floor lamp for less than $20 and it looks like an entirely different lamp.
Oh wow! I love them! I would just update the shade, either DIY or purchased, to go with your current decor.

Hmmm, I agree with the others. Changing the lamp shade would change the whole look of this lamp! The delicate curves and color is overshadowed by the size and shape of the current shade. Hello Debbie, I have lamp very similar except it's brass, I decoupaged the lamp shade for my library and it looks great. If I knew how to post pictures I would send a picture. Loretta
