Cut the bottom from a white clorox bottle. Feel it with water and place beside your plants.
If you're allowed to own poultry, get some guineas. They love Japanese beetles! If not you can kill the grubs by spraying your lawn with water mixed with dish washing soap. 2Tbs soap to about a gallon of water. Do this weekly for a few weeks and it should alleviate the problem.

Spray your Hibiscus plants with horticultural oil which will smother them.
the first week of june, i put out those beetle bags sold at lowe's. they work great but must be replaced as they fill. get rid of the beetles and you will also get rid of moles in your yard. the moles are attracted to grubs (part of the life cycle of the beetle)
