Ranunculus and anemone bulbs are planted close to the surface. Is there any way to protect them from squirrels?
apply blood meal.make a spray with crushed hot pepper and garlic.
I will be facing the same problem this year. I am going to make cages of chicken wire. It will be hard to get to the tomatoes, but I can't think of anything else. I could use the pepper/hot sauce spray, but won't that make the tomatoes taste?
There is a product that I found at ACE hardware, it's called Animal B Gone. It is made from natural ingredients such as rosemary and mint. It comes in granular form and is easy to use. Good luck.
I will let you know. I have not checked for seedlings in several days. However, the last time I planted sunflower seeds they came up but the darn rabbits ate the seedlings. Guess the rabbits didn't get the memo.
