Flowers and foliage look very much like a variety of tulips, but I never heard of planting them from seed.
It looks like a double tulip and the leaves in the background look like tulip leaves but I thought they would be bulbs not seeds.

when the flower dies it produces a seed pod...if left to mature...you can get viable seed to produce a flower...it is possible...hard to get the seeds old enough to regrow. Yes it is a double tulip...beauty
Tulips usually reproduce underground, with more bulbs produced from the original bulb planted. You must have a really green thumb to have been able to grow them from seed!!
