What is the best way to get rid of squash bugs?

    Pick them off by hand and drown them in a bucket of water. If you want to use chemicals, Sevin Dust works well. More organic means? Try diatomaceous earth (available at most garden shops).

    Spray the plants down with horticultural oil and apply food grade diatomaceous earth.

    Look up Companion Plants, Google it and you'll see what plants to plant with your squash to repel insects and attract beneficial ones. This really works, I have used this method for years.
