Every time you cut a rose you are in effect pruning. I would cut back to above a bud once the winter is over, I never prune before February and only if the plant needs thinning out. This is UK advice, otherwise, your local temperature will dictate. They also enjoy a good feed, either a proprietary rose feed or bonemeal, a good book on roses or general gardening book should keep you right although there is always Google
Google is your friend! I feed on a regular basis throughout the blooming season. Plus every few days I go out and dead head the spent blooms. One of the easiest rose varieties to grow in my opinion.

would only add I much prefer Bayer 3 in 1 in the granulated form which is time release and no mixing required.
