What plants do you have?
Full sun plants like 6 hours, but I find many plants can push the limits. Some plants won't flower as much with less sun, so this is an indicator that plant might need more sun. A veggie garden definately needs more sun, though!
Depends on where you live and what plants you have.
It all depends on the plant and which kind of sun, morning or afternoon. Some plants can be forgiving and adjust, some may be a bit stunted.
