We take them to the beach or the pool. They're great for packing wet swimsuits in.
I use them in my suitcases when traveling. I have also used some to store my randomly used evening bags, typically used for more formal occasions.
Use them as mini green houses for small potted plants you are trying to grow. Add a strap and use it for a beach or pool bag. Use them as bags to store craft supplies, Christmas bows, sewing supplies, etc. Since they are clear you can easily see what is inside. Use them as gift bags! The possibilities are almost endless lol.
You could store lacy bras and things in one each to keep them from getting snagged while stored in a drawer.
You might re-use them by adding a cute bow or ribbon and using them as gift bags for items that do fit ...
I store my cloth napkins, extra pillow cases, placemats and seasonal items (like chrstmas tea towels etc.) in them. It keeps the linen closet neat and tidy and I can still see what is in the package. additionally you don't have to re-iron things as the stay neatly folded.
I use the square plastic ones as portable craft totes, when I don't want to bring everything with me. They're good for traveling, too.
Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I NEVER have a problem using the zippered plastics ones (I'm a quilter, so there are always projects that need storing). It's the funny little square fabric ones that the top doesn't really close.
If you travel they're wonderful for shoe covers so as not to get your clothing dirty in a suitcase.
I've added straps to them before and made a couple bags for gathering things.... picking the garden, gathering seeds or nuts, etc. Great for kids to scavenger hunt in the yard or woods.
