Use them for collections (buttons, beads, etc.)put excess seeds in them to keep for later planting; break down large bulk spices and put them into smaller containers; use for temporary pill boxes for trips; use them to store leftover paint from gallon containers for touch-ups
You can always them to hold screws and nut or other small items in your catch all draw. Mark on outside what it is.
Contact your local animal shelter, there are some vets that use them.
They work well for small items, be sure to soak the labels off, then use them for beads, buttons, straight pins, they work great for the sewing room or arts and crafts room. I keep toothpicks in them in the kitchen too. so very many uses, when you travel throw bandaids in them. they wont get bent and easy to find.
We all have this problem. I hate waste. I've put all kinds of things in them. I use them bottoms and top to sit small items I am varnishing to get them off the new paper. I've used them for special bath tub ingredients with a little bow and flowers to give as gift. Still working on the remainder.
Like other answers above, store small items in them. If you have cats; put some mini "jingle" bells in them. My cats love the noise they make, especially when played with on tiled floors!
With some of my larger pill bottles, I wrap them with quarter inch thick sisal rope. As I get about halfway on the bottle, I take a 3-4" piece and glue it longitudinal such that you form a "tail"......think mouse tail. Continue wrapping the rest f the bottle -wrapping over the top of the tail affixed to the bottle. If you're adventurous, starting on the cap, coil the sisal rope, then continue wrapping the bottle and then transition in the reverse for the bottom. And yes, with this change, jingle bells where put inside first.
I get my bells at Micheal's, as they carry a good variety of types and sizes....especially around Christmas.
look online for local church ministry that donates them to other areas maybe to a missionary
You can also return empty bottles to you local pharmary. Just call them and make sure.
I have diabetes and the test strip containers are about the same size so I use mine for odd beads, storing paint when I don't need a huge amount, buttons any small things. write with a Sharpe pen and put sellotape over the writing

I use them to store memory cards. Then label the bottle with what's inside. Then I can keep track of backups on photos and documents I need.

Donate them to Girl Scouts or summer camps, they always need containers for their projects, or maybe a local church that has bible study stories for children.
