a little bit of dawn dishwashing liquid and water. Lather your dog and rinse well. You can also wash your dog with a little bit of Bronners soap And water. Lather and rinse well. Bronners kills fleas🐾
The Humane Association told me that we should only bathe our dog twice a year. It is best for their skin. If your dog smells, they sell fur freshening spray. The spray smells very clean and is non toxic towards the dogs skin.. I believe that I bought the spray at Amazon.com or Petsmart.
My German Shepherd got rave reviews after we mixed omega-3 (fish oil) in with his food. We also brushed him alot.
My vet told me to only bathe my dogs once a month as it can dry their skin out, causing excess shedding and itching. In between shampoos, I use cleansing wipes made for dogs. They are SOAP FREE and smell nice! And, they love the extra attention without the stress of a bath. I get them at Petsmart. Hope this is helpful.
I never heard of Dr. Bronners soap till now... will try it soon .... Thank you very much :0)
You are doing the right thing, rinse him off (water only), and dry him. I would consult your vet about adding a fish oil supplement so he does not get or have to suffer with dry skin.
Been using it on my dogs for some time. Even when I'm showering.
