Usually you should not have to water your tomato plants every day (unless the soil is extremely dry). As a matter of fact it is better for them to have good drainage and no "standing" water or permanent dampness around to roots to prevent root rot.
I have to water twice a day, but where I live it is very hot, single digit humidity and oh so dry. It all depends where you live and your climate.
I am growing tomatoes in containers for the first time. As long as the soil is damp I put off watering for a day. Even with drainage you can overwater.
Absolutely, especially if you live in a super hot area. It's good for your plants, and also a little therapeutic for you!
Depends on the weather. I have mine in pots and if temp stays under 85 then every few days is ok. Above that probably need daily, especially if it's super windy; that dries the soil more quickly.
Yes you can but its best to water them early in the morning before the sun gets real hot so they can absorb the water, watering them when it's really hot can hurt them
And water from the bottom deeply. That will help avoid certain fungal diseases.
