Container ! No bugs!!!
I think it's all up to you. I didn't want to dig so we put them in a pot in our greenhouse. Theft are growing good.
That all depends on how large you want your crop of tomatoes! They are proliferating! Also, what are the pests in your area and your ability to water them? Anything grown in a pot needs a LOT more water.
I have done (and still do), both. For me the ones in the ground did slightly better. The ones in pots take a lot more water, at least in my climate. Either way, you will have delicious home grown tomatoes! 🍅
I have an early girl bush tomato in a really big pot and six others in the garden and the pot is growing better by far because it gets more personal care by the house compared to the garden that is up two steep tiered hills. It is already at least five foot high and still growing, with a couple of tomatoes growing and about twenty groups of flowers. This plant is just part of the potted herbs and veggies at the side of our house that my hubby can watch grow.
yeah got water just rabbiets
