If you love the colour of the wood, and it still goes with the decor of your bedroom, just refinish it, either by yourself, or have it done professionally.
If you're willing to change the wood, I would go the painted route. There are so many wonderful projects to inspire you here on Hometalk- check it out! https://www.hometalk.com/categories/makeovers/furniture
I would buy a cheap sander & do it lightly then seal it with varnish & it will look new & great again
If you don't want to paint it, then I suggest getting CitriStrip and then varnishing. You could change the color with a darker stain. Otherwise, you could lightly sand, then paint with chalk paint or Fusion mineral paint or even latex then use a wax or poly to seal.
If you just have minor scratches , grab some walnuts and get cracking--seriously . Rubbing the meat of the walnut into the scratch will make it go away . The oils in the nut help recondition the wood .
Beautiful furniture! I m thinking to leave as is and just add some decor - ring box, lamp, photos, vase with or without flowers, a few touches of some blingy objects, etc. If you style the room a bit differently, maybe you will love as is again.
Love the bedroom set and you have good option. I would spray paint them and add new draw handles to give it an up dated look. find a comforter set you love and pick a color from it and paint the wall that color benching the bad wall. Here are some picture as a guild and the dresser make over is my same dresser I re-did over and I love it!! Oh forgot to mention to add buffet lamps to the dresser.
Those are really good options for me! Thanks, Barb! I'll post before & after pictures after I make changes!!
