@Bsnelson. Yes, coffee used to come in cans, back when a pound of coffee meant 16 oz. Now, coffee comes in plastic containers, or in cardboard containers lined in a shiny material. Either way, the coffee "cans" are too good to throw away.
Use to store a roll of toilet paper when you go camping or just for emergencies in the trunk of your car.
I use them to store bird seed and such in the garage so mice don't get into them.
