Yes but I would boil them then strain them first to release the natural oils etc.
Yes. They can be used as is, and also after brewing. You can also use your eggshells. Crush your eggshells first. Mix either or both into the soil or sprinkle on top if you have only a little bit.
For some reason, worms love coffee grounds and it will get you more worms in your garden beds, used or unused. If you have acid loving plants it will work well for those to keep the soil more acidic, so you can use more for them. Do some research as to what you have in plants and shrubs that really like the acidic soil.
Use where you want an acidic soil. ex. rhododendrons, azaleas, hollies, evergreens and dogwoods.
We used to put them into a mulch making container with leaves, paper, vegetable and fruit left-overs. Google How to Make Mulch
Oh, also added grass clippings.
Yes, place at drip line of plants.. it is acidic but great for soils

There are lots of ways to put coffee grounds to good use. I incorporate them into my composting and gardening. www.JerryWhiting.com/coffee-grounds/
some of these answers would be better served if the responder would declare their understanding that she is asking about 'unused' ground up coffee, as there seems to be an unwritten code that just saying coffee 'grounds' means used coffee. Some people DID do that-some didn't so it leaves you unsure of their answer.
In lieu of the caffeine found in fresh, unbrewed coffee grounds, which can have an adverse effect on plants, you may want to used decaffeinated coffee or only apply fresh grounds minimally to avoid any issues.
