Is there any easy way to spread mulch when the bag is so heavy.?

I shovel half of the mulch out of the bag first.
maybe dump it into smaller containers so you're not having to carry a big bag.
Lay the bag in your bed, after hauling it in a wheelbarrow to your desired location. I just sort of roll them out of the back of the car one at a time. Cut the top of the bag open lengthwise, scoop out with a shovel. I always rake mine so it looks pretty - for 5 minutes so I can take a photo . . . Before 6 dogs come to "inspect" . . .
I do it like Naomie with about everything I can't carry. I ask in the shop to put it in the back of the car, At home, I roll the bag from my car in my wheelbarrow.
I too have trouble lifting these heavy bags...what I do is drag one bag into my garage near the door and pour out the entire bag on a blue plastic tarp which you have spread out on the floor of the garage. I have purchased a plastic flexible bucket/tub with handles and scoop as much mulch from the pile into the bucket or as little as you can lift. Then pour into the areas you want to cover at little at a time ...it will take a little time but you can do this by handling only what you can carry...one bucket at a time will eventually spread very nicely...take your time...
Get a little red wagon or find a child who has outgrown hers. (Have you seen the PRICE of those wagons today?) I'd like you to find a teen or someone older who could help you with chores like this. You don't need to be changing light bulbs, but maybe you can spread mulch in the flower bed after it's dumped. Maybe someone could bring in your groceries, but you could whip up some brownies as a treat for those who help you. Bless you, Mickey, and find ways to make your life easier 😇
Thank you that's a great idea. Fabulous I appreciate it. Thank you
Today, maybe the bags were bigger or I was older, but it was too much to put them in our wheelbarrow cart. So I got a dolly and put it up against the stack of bags, then slid a bag down off the stack onto the dolly. It was easy to get it on the dolly, take it where it was needed, and flop it on the ground. Did it 12+ times and it worked every time.
Assuming the store loaded your hatchback SUV, park a wheelbarrow next to rear bumper. Pull the bag to the edge with end hanging out and open bag dumping most into the wheelbarrow. Keep the last 1/3 bag and throw on top to dump on hidden spots. Use pitch fork to move from wheelbarrow to bed (no bending over).
