Is it a cranberry tree? The berries hang down from a cluster of stems like cherries.

You could take a picture or sample to your local Extension Club. Just google
Extension club along with your city and state. They are usually very knowledgeable.
It's a lilac bush. Feed it with a bloom booster once a month and next spring it should really bloom out. Only flowers in spring and early summer.
