You could cut off the fingers and that would leave a round piece left. One thing you can do with the round part left after cutting off the finger area is to use it for soda cans when you drink one. But that would depend on the glove size I think. The material is strong and somewhat stretchy so your options are numerous.

I would use it as a jar opener. If the hole is in the palm, turn it inside out. Or roll it in peanut butter and birdseed and put it on a fence post or hang it in the tree for a bird treat (or do that and put it in a freezer bag to save for winter birds). If the hole is in a finger and you can tie it in a knot to prevent leaks, fill the glove almost full of water and freeze; use it to keep a dog's water cool outside. Definitely not trash. 😇

Use a little bit of silicone and seal the hole, let it dry as the instructions say, then reuse as dishwashing gloves.
