It is not hard, just a process and best if you have at least one other person helping out. Here are a few links for you.

Not hard at all , just a little time consuming .
Here are the basic steps and the only thing that I would add is to label what hardware goes where when you remove it, makes putting it back together easier .

Its not hard per se, but time consuming if you do it correctly. Prep is key. Clean them, prime if necessary then paint. I am a fan of chalk paint for this purpose, however it is all a matter of preference. I take my cabinets down, my sister left hers up... both turned out great.
Easy. Clean, prime and paint with cabinet paint.
Make sure they are clean and dry. Use acrylic latex paint. Remove the doors and hardware. Mark the doors and cabinets with tape where they go. Lightly sand the doors and cabinets to remove any gloss and roughen the surface for paint. Prime with a stain blocking primer like Zinsser 123, KILZ,or BIN. Then paint with your color. Seal with at least three coats with a water based polyurethane. Use a small foam roller and foam brush for a smooth finish.
I hear that it's pretty easy with a Rustoleum kit
Thank you
I used General Finishes Acrylic Waterbased Topcoat in matte on my cabinets. It has a harder finish because of that and I haven't had peels or chips. And a plus was that it dried pretty fast.
Use chalk paint on your cabinets. No prep and it looks great. See how to here: http://providenthomedesign.com/2015/08/06/painting-cabinets-with-chalk-paint/
I used the Rustoleum kit and it was a LOT of work. If you use it, make sure you do the deglazing process thoroughly or nothing after that will work. If I did it again, I would just paint with an alkyd paint. The Rustoleum is already chipping and it's only been a few years. Just make sure you number your cabinet doors!
