Rose Broadway United StatesJust nowTo make sure it's water-tight cut a circle of heavy plastic and glue it on the bottom of the pot. Be sure to use a sealer that repels water, and glue extra firmly around the edges of the circle.
Put one of those planter trays (the kind that goes under the pot) inside the pot as a liner. The closer it fits to the walls the better it will work.
They have that new RUBBER SPRAY N OR PAINT.... U can find it at Walmart in the...just on TV gadget's.... You can also use roof rubber...to line the inside...good luck....I don't know if the spray can be painted..ask the paint man in the store??

Aquarium silicone would be the best to secure the plastic to the pot. Run a bead around the edge of where the plastic piece and the pot come together. Use your finger to spread it just like you do when you chalk your tub. It is what they use to glue the sides and bottom of aquariums together and I have never seen it fail. I have aquariums from five to 150 gallons and they never leak. We redid one aquarium that was 90 gallon and looked iffy and used only Aquarium silicone and it is still fine three years later with no leaks and many happy fish.
Purchase a piece of liner that is used in ornamental fish ponds and line the inside with the liner. First place a piece of waterproof tape (Duct tape maybe?) to cover the hole from the inside of the pot. Turn that side to the back.
Oh Thank you so much folks. You given me great choices. I love this website.
