Do It Yourself! Don’t let it scare you off! There’s plenty of help on forums like this, in hardware stores, and paint stores. There are always experts around that you can pay if you get stuck but prepare your questions ahead of time, be very (VERY!) specific about what you want done. Ask for references and ask to see work they’ve done.
If they give you a quote say you’ll get back to them. If they don’t give you a quote or never call back don’t pursue them. They are too busy or don’t really want a job for some other reason. Look for local handy-people, not big name advertisers. Ask your neighbors.
