Do you want a better solution for your recyclables, or a way to make the tubs look better since you like to use them? If you are looking to make the tubs blend in better with your decor, you could paint them with a paint made for plastic, even putting a stenciled design on them. Or you could cover them in fabric or even scrapbook paper to make them look nice. Hope I understood your question okay.
imthink your current method sounds great -an d way better than mine - I put my recycling in paper grocery bags until I’m ready to put it in the big bins. We have the kind of recycling that you don’t have to sort.

Sounds like you have it under control to me! I would mod podge them to go with your decor and maybe wrap the handles with a pretty rope and add a few embellishments.

In our town we have no trash removal and so have to dispose of our own trash. We also do not have a garage, so we put our recyclables in our coat closet. We have a wire container for newspapers. A sort of cloth collapsible container for cardboard, metal, glass and an old wastepaper basket for returnables. We just go to the transfer station as often as necessary.
You are most Welcome, Nancy!!
Please do be sure to post what you decide to do. I would Love to see it!!
