Brr! Drafty windows- how to cut the draft?

Oh dear. I would have had a bunch of estimates to have done professionally during the purchase process, you might have been able to score a better deal or at least a credit. It makes a difference if you have single pane, dual or triple pane and those that have gas in between the panes needs to be handled by a qualified licensed professional. My first question is why do you want to replace the glass in every window? That would be a huge job. Unless they are very old windows with putty holding them in place, this is not a job for an amateur.

You can do this yourself IF the windows are single pane glass. Simply remove the trim holding the glass in and replace with new glass, then replace the trim piece. If the windows are double pane glass they must be replaced entirely as the "seal" is no longer intact.
