It's just the variety of tomato. Those little cherry tomatoes are one variety, while the large ones look like Costoluto tomatoes. There's nothing wrong with them--that's how that variety is supposed to look.

There are thousands of varieties of tomato. Heirloom (the original types) are often multicolored and almost always 'lumpy'. Newer varieties are smooth because they look 'prettier' and were bred to be that way. Some are huge, some are small -- but all are fine. (side note: people used to believe they were poisonous!)

varieties differ. The ones with ribs are HEIRLOOM varieties and taste like"real" tomatoes used to..the smaller are cherry or patio and while handy and cute are not known for as much flavor..

The two tomatoes on the right look like heritage tomatoes, the real tomato, not a hybrid like the little guys on the left.

There are many variety of tomatoes and it would appear that you have at least two different types e.g. the small ones are likely to be cherry tomatoes and the larger could be beef stock (or similar)
