Roses love the sunshine so a sunny location will be best. In fall work several handfuls of alfalfa pellets into the soil around the rose - nutrients will boost plant next year. Purchase alfalfa pellets at pet or farm supply stores.

are you removing the blooms when they are finished?
if you will pinch off the bloom after it has bloomed, you will see new growth and it will go crazy blooming even more.
