If you have an IPhone use the Block feature whenever you see a phone number come up on your screen and do not answer the call just let it ring then go to the bottom of screen an block number. This has cut down on a lot of calls .Also give out fake phone numbers when you sign up online for something you do not want response to, this will cut down on unwanted calls.

I'm on the do not call list and I'm still inundated with callers. I have caller ID on my land line so I just don't answer If I don't recognize the number. If no one leaves a message, I know it was a telemarketer. On my cell phone I just block the caller.

go to "do not call" to register but I think you have to re register after 90 days. Also if cell phone can block caller after you hang up,

Thanks, I'm registered with DO NOT CALL..I'love have to block numbers. Blessings 😍👍

  • Get you number on the "Do Not Call" list - and until it becomes effective, make note of the number that called you and threaten legal action. Works for cell phones too.

If you are speaking of a cell phone there are apps to block the number, land lines are a little different. You and subscribe to the "Do Not Call list" but that will only stop the reputable companies. They also use spoofing numbers so it is almost virtually impossible to stop. I am on the "Do Not Call List" and am inundated with calls all day long on my land line. Good Luck!

When I realize it's going to be a telemarketer I go into my radio voice and answer "You're ON THE AIR LIVE WTTW" ... they always hang up, sometimes that will get me off the list.

Oh, if it's a Cell Phone get the App 'True Caller', the basic one is free and most of the time when it's a 'Spam' caller True Caller will tell you on the phone's screen. Very handy and highly recommended.
