How about gold? Or you can find a lot of tropical prints that would work.
So sorry your house burned down!
we are in our mid 60's, and are re-doing a flooded home in the same basic colors. Blue, teal, cream, gold, and silver. We added a persian rug, with dusty pink as the primary colors. it is coming out amazing, rather like an indian wedding sari. We empathize being forced to do a new home at this stage in life. It just all seems more complicated. good Luck!
Different shades of grey! Or even a vibrant orange! So sorry about your house burning!
Put your color in fabric like curtains, throws and tableclothes, with your walls a neutral (does not mean tan or white)
Picture would be helpful, I'm so sorry you had to go through that and I hope you new home well let those memories fade and your enjoy your new home. Start with your furniture pick a area rug that goes under coffee table in teals and blue this will be your starting point, then add pillows, a throw and paint one wall a shade of blue then start will decorative accent items.
