Try putting up a fly strip in the kitchen, they really do work! May not look real good hanging there, but I think most people understand and have probably had to use them at some time. They are cheap and easy to hang off the ceiling, just place it where you won't have heads getting stuck to it. Works for gnats and fruit flies, too!
