Cute dog....hand pictures with chains in a row down? Cover with fabric and hang jewelry?
This could be a fun project! You can have something cut to fit it and use it for anything from a bulletin board, chalk board, family control center. Personally, I would turn it into a control center with places to keep track of everything. Like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/405183297717126780/
If you attach wood to the mirror frame - I see two screw holes, it doesn't have to be the dimensions of the original mirror! Use it as an easel for displaying paintings, menus, greeting people on the porch, or as a vertical plant holder, maybe all the same sized pots and have an herb garden just outside your back door?
My dear
if you have a wooden sheet ?fix it to he frame then apply two metal reals for flexible shelves then add some glass or 10mm wood small sheets as a book shelf or for flowers pots

How about getting a piece of material and painting it ?
You could hang material and pin photos on it!
Attached chicken wire or any type of strong wire mesh to the back and use as jewelry display/holder or use as a purse, scarf, accessories holder or use in you kitchen for cooking utensils, small pots, pans, lids, dried spices, menu boards, recipe cards or use a sewing assistant to hold threads, material, swatches, pins, etc. Or attach wood to the back, paint with outdoor paint and use chalk paint in the center and use as a seasonal message board. You have endless possibilities. Have a great creative day!!
I would cover it with fabric and make it a 3D art piece.
