Good Luck Taylor-a and thanks for using HOMETALK to find out how to have a good looking yard.
Don't put anything in the yard if you don't want to do the needed maintenance or pay someone else to do the upkeep on it.
Having an attractive yard is an investment- either initial cost to put in no-or-low maintenance features, or an ongoing cost of tools and your time.
Your lawn is the most important factor in having an attractive yard. We use Scott's products for fertilizing the lawn and it has always worked well for us. You should always keep it mowed especially during the rainy season. Trees, bushes, and plants will help your yard look nice, especially when maintained.
Put a lot of work and elbow grease into it, or hire a service to do for you. I enjoy gardening and find it relaxing. As I get older, I hire out the things I can no longer do or want to do.
Loys and lots of care and attention, feeding, weeding and watering. Or you could always hire a company to do this for you.
