yes.. you usually use it during planting and the plant would take it in just to produce roots. It is also naturally occurring so whether you use some or not, it is already in the plant. Not unless you drink it straight from the bottle then it is not at all edible and safe!
I've read that cinnamon can be used as a rooting hormone. You might look into that as an effective alternative. Easy and edible. :-)

Yes........Well not the Hormone powder but the eventual plant.........somewhere in the back of my mind there is something that can be found on the spice rack that would do the same thing Cinnamon????
never had a problem with the rooting hormones...the plants have it naturally.
