There are companies that refinish/recolor the bathtub and ceramic.tile. A change from say... pink to cream or white or grey... and a new color on the walls, a new sink and vanity if you want, new or re purposed mirror and a new style light, a fun or fancy shower curtain or new shower doors (you can change the finish from brass to silver or oil rubbed bronze with spray paint).
You can put open shelving over the toilet for storage.... You can do as much or as little as you want.. in your own time frame..
