I have a curved cement seat and the corner got knocked off . What should I use to get it back together ?
Usually, a combo is best. The smaller numbers are coarser, so a rough surface like raw wood needs #60. Middle numbers are for moderately raw edges, like an edge that might have splinters. But use #220 for the final smoothing and in between coats of finish. So decide where to start with your desk--and I'm guessing about #120, finishing with #220. Best wishes 😇💖
It really depends on what kind of wood the desk is made of and the condition of it.
If you want to clean up the metal, use wet-and-dry sandpaper made for metal. like with wood, start with smaller # and go to larger #.
